Good To Be a Student

Many students complain that it's difficult to be a student because of the endless classes and examinations. Besides, we spend all our time in study so that we can't do what we really want to do. However, in my opinion, it's good to be a student. Firstly, all we need to worry about is our study. As long as we want, we can study with our whole-heart and then play. Secondly, the pressure of a student is much less than to be a worker. After graduation, many things will change and the world seems so different from what we see in school. Finally, teachers are tolerant and patient. They are likely to teach us what we should do and what we can't do. And, if we make mistakes, teachers will help us correct them patiently. After graduation, few people would do these to us. In short, it's good to be a student although we have endless homework and examinations.

Puertro Rico

I had a tiring spring break last year in Puerto Rico, nine people are not best choice. Every day we found a new hotel. The first night I arrived in Puerto Rico, I won $300 in a casino which was in my hotel.   I just played this game once, but my friend lost $5000 because he gambled every night.  It was crazy and bad.

 

The second day I went to Old San Juan. I like this place! It’s very amazing, beautiful, awesome, and surprising. The view is like a picture. I took lots of pictures, and I sent to my Chinese Facebook. Everybody said they were beautiful. And I sent a postcard to you and my friend, who is in China.

In addition, we took a small plane and went to Vieques Island. The pilot was an older man, and he is looked very kind. To our surprise, he took a photo for my friend who sat near by him in the air. The small plane was just large enough to sit nine people. When wearrived at Vieques Island, we met a nice man who helped us find a hotel. (This is a small island, so we  couldn’t find  any information about hotel in the Internet, so we needed to arrive at the island and find a hotel.)  In the afternoon, we  went canoeing in the sea. I believe this is the most unforgettable memory in my life, because I nearly couldn’t come back ashore. In the beginning, we had fun in this sport. Afterwards, we were exhausted and we were farther and farther from the coast because of waves. Finally, current took us so far away from where we got into the sea, that we couldn’t even see the shoreline . Although we tried our best against the current, it made no sense. Just when I gave up all hope, the lifeguard came! We took the yacht  back to the shore. Ittook 5 minutes！

Also, we went to the second most beautiful beach in the world named Culebra Island. Yes, I agree this beach is beautiful, but it’s not  as beautiful that we expected. (I am very confused that the island doesn’t have enough and better hotels in the second most beautiful beach in the world.)

 

A good life

A good life is a haapy life, but a happy lift does not mean leisure and rest. A good life is a busy life. One will feel bored if one has nothing to do for a long time. You can sleep, listen to music, watch movie, play computer game, dance in the nightclub, have saunnas, play cards, or chat with firends. How would you feel if you are to do these day after day, month agter month, with anxiety and frustration. To be meaning occupied, to have some meaningful task to do, to have a goal to pursue- all this will make a good life or a full life.


I admit that pressure it sometime a bad thing. Too much pressure will ruin health and lower efficiency. One does need leisure and rest. One does need free time. But wrk is essential for a good life. One will be happy to see the work one has accomplished. One will get a sense of fulfilment from such achievement. As the saying goes, life depends goes, life depends on movement. A good life is a life which gives you a lot of movement, alot of activity and a lot of work. A good life is a busy life.

Flavio’s Home

Flavio’s Home was a very interesting but sad story. It spoke of the horrors of poverty that a young twelve years old boy named Flavio had to endure with his family. It amazed me how Flavio I the strength and determination to take care of his family as if he was the father of his home. Flavio never lost hope and always kept a smile on his face even though deep inside he was suffering and almost dying from several illnesses. Thanks to Gordon Parks trip to film Flavio’s family, because it changed Flavio’s family and Gordon’s Park life at the same times. I was thrilled to know that Flavio survived and him and his family was moved to another location with a house in better condition, and also that fact that they were able to have more food on the table. I was sadden by Gordon Parks death, but he lived a nice, talented and successful life.

couples should get married older

I was watching a television show and they were discussing what is the appropriate age that you think a couple should get married. My opinion on that was that I think that getting married at an older age is better because you are more mature, you are more financially stable and you are more responsible. At an older age you are more likely to be mature when getting married. Being more mature when you are married will help your marriage to last long because you and your spouse will be more likely to understand each other in many situations such as an argument other than having to argue. You look at things in a different perspective which helps your relationship. Mature couples trust each other when they are alone rather than to think that your spouse might be doing something wrong. Older couples are more likely to have a stable job already and have less wants to buy. They tend to spend less and save more which will be helpful in the long run if something bad occurs and older couple is more responsible because they know right from wrong and what situations not to get into that was just my opinion on why it is better to get married at an older age.

Should Government pay poor women financial incentives to use birth control?
I do not think that government should pay poor women financial incentives to use birth control because they should know before they have sexual intercourse what the consequences our. I think the proposal is just another excuse for poor women to have intercourse. If you want to have intercourse than you have got to be able to pay for the consequences. I think this is such a controversial issue today because many Americans feel that people should be able to get financial issues to use birth control and I just do not agree with that.

My view on Honesty

Honesty is a long-lasting virtue of people and is regarded as the most important quality. People give admiration to those people who are honest, while hate those who often tell lies. However, some people say that in market economy, honesty tends to be less important. But in my point of view, honesty will never be out of date no matter how the situation changes.

Firstly, honesty is always the mainstream in our society and those people who are sincere are respected. On the contrast, the dishonest will be excluded by others. Secondly, no matter in the daily life or in business, people would like to build relationships with the honest. Honesty is the basis of true friendship. In the business, those who make money at the cost of honesty certainly will pay the price in someday. Finally, honesty should become part of our personality that we should treat it as the most valuable fortune of ours. It may not brings you material benefit, but you spirit must be rich.

In short, honesty is an important quality that should deeply root in everyone's heart
